The Partnership has developed five community based anticoagulation clinics.  The clinics, which are GP lead and nurse run, operate as a one-stop-shop where patients have their international normalisation ratio (INR) checked using near patient testing (NPT) equipment and have their warfarin prescribed using computer decision support in one visit.
